New Schunk LLP Gantries Reduce Costs by up to 50%

With the modular system for line and room gantries from SCHUNK, the competence leader for clamping technology and gripping systems, users and system integrators can reduce their project planning, assembly and commissioning costs for gantries by up to 50%. Instead of individually configurating each axis system during design of assembly and handling stations, the user can choose the matching gantry solutions from a vast standard program from the innovative family-owned company. Every mechanical connection element and the energy feeding of the subassemblies are pre-assembled and ready for installation.

The modular system includes pneumatically and electrically driven solutions and covers the most common requirements. Stroke lengths of the pneumatic horizontal axes are graduated in 100mm steps from 300mm to 1500mm. The pneumatic vertical axis are graduated from 25mm to 225mm. The end positions can be continuously adjusted and the maximum load capacity amounts to 5kg. The electrically driven axis can be freely programmed and has further stroke graduations. The stroke lengths lie between 500mm and 1500mm with the maximum load optionally at 10kg or 20kg. Horizontal axes are equipped with a toothed drive belt whilst vertical axes have a spindle drive. Schunk offers the option of supplying the units with ready assembled motors or without one.
