IMC President Wins Prestigious Korean Award

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Korean Foreign Corporate Associations hosted an annual event on the 3rd of November to celebrate the achievements of foreign investors in Korea throughout 2011. TaeguTec had a winner at the high profile ceremony with IMC Group CEO Mr Jacob Harpaz winning the Silver Tower Industry Medal of Honor, the highest medal of honor to be awarded non-Korean nationality. Mr Harpaz received the award from the Korean Minister for Knowledge & The Economy, Mr Joong-kyung Choi.

The event was staged at the Grand Inter-Continental Hotel in Seoul, South Korea to mark the occasion of the 11th Foreign Company Day. The highlight of the event was granting Foreign Investment Awards to those who have contributed to foreign investment in Korea.

Mr. Harpaz was recognised for his contribution through TaeguTec to generating employment growth, expansion of investment, regional development, increasing exports and industrial advancement. Set as one of the most successful foreign direct investment cases in Korea, TaeguTec will continue to perform its role as the most prestigious ambassador to the country that encourages foreign investment by proving its success in Korea.

The awards aim to boost morale and the profile of the category winners as well as raise public awareness of foreign investment programs.
